British MI5 Addresses Threats From Iran, Russia, And China

UNITED KINGDOM - The British MI5 Security Service addressed threats to the UK posed by Iran, Russia, and China and is expected to declare the Iranian IRGC a terrorist organization in the coming weeks. Secret Chinese Police Stations in countries all over the world used to surveil Chinese nations have also been exposed.

The expected declaration of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IGRC) as a terrorist organization comes after the British Security Service MI5 revealed that Iran attempted to assassinate and kidnap British residents 10 times in 2022.

The move would put the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corpse in the same category as the Al-Qaeda, (a group that carried out the September 11th, 2022 attacks in the United States), and ISIL (ISIS).

Declaring the IRGC a terrorist organization would make it a criminal offense for anyone to belong to the organization, attend its meetings or display its logo in a public setting in order to garner support for the organization.

The 10 residents that Iran is said to have attempted to kidnap or assassinate are residents that Iran has said are "enemies of the regime," according to the MI5 report that was released in November of 2022.

MI5's director general Ken McCallum said that Iran's “aggressive intelligence services” had begun launching terrorist attacks on British territory.

In November, McCallum said, “Iran projects threat to the UK directly, through its aggressive intelligence services. At its sharpest, this includes ambitions to kidnap or even kill British or UK-based individuals perceived as enemies of the regime. We have seen at least 10 such potential threats since January alone.”

MI5: Russia And China Also A Threat To The UK

Regarding Russia, he also said that the Russian spy network had been “struck the most significant blow… in recent European history” due to international opposition to Putin's war on Ukraine.

400 Russian spies have been kicked out of Russian countries since the war on Ukraine began, with the United Kingdom having refused 100 Russian diplomats' visa applications on "national security grounds".

Russia and Iran have been working closely together in an ever-growing and mutually beneficial relationship that includes skirting international sanctions.

China Monitoring, Coercing, and Harassing Citizens In Countries All Over The World

China is also using "all means at their disposal" in order to monitor - and where they deem necessary intimidate - the Chinese diaspora", which the MI5 director general says "takes place all over the world" from both "coercing" to "forcibly repatriating Chinese nationals" to "harassment and assault".

He said that Intimidation Tactics being used were "brought home recently… when a pro-democracy protester appeared to be the subject of violence outside the Chinese Consulate in Manchester”.

McCallum said that China is using "front organizations" in order to "apply pressure to those challenging the regime’s core interests".

He added, "We can expect it to increase further as president Xi consolidates power on an indefinite basis. To intimidate and harass UK nationals or those who have made the UK their home cannot be tolerated".
