EASTERN CONGO — At least 50 people were killed in an overnight attack by the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) in the Ntoyo village, Lubero territory, North Kivu province, with some accounts indicating over 80 deaths.
The attack occurred on Monday night around 9 p.m. local time, targeting civilians gathered at a mourning ceremony. Most victims were killed with machetes, according to local administrators. Search operations continued for missing individuals, with the death toll potentially rising.
