Biden Administration Announces $600 Million In Additional Security Assistance for Ukraine
The package includes: 20 Mi-17 helicopters, 31 Abrams tanks, 45 T-72B tanks, 38 HMARS, 198 155mm Howitzers, Ground-Launched small-diameter bomb launchers, a Patriot Air Defense System, and more.
WASHINGTON - The Biden Administration has announced an additional $600 million in security assistance for Ukraine, including 20 Mi-17 helicopters, 31 Abrams tanks, 45 T-72B tanks, 38 HMARS systems and ammunition, 198 155mm Howitzers, Ground-Launched small-diameter bomb launchers, a Patriot Air Defense System and munitions, NASAMS surface-to-air missile systems, and more.
A statement by the Department of Defense said that the package is provided through the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative (USAI) and includes equipment to augment Ukraine's air defenses, artillery munitions, and other capabilities.
