Coast Guard establishes Area Command Post ahead of Tropical Storm Idalia, Storm Projections
Idalia is expected to build in strength and severity and impact western Florida as a hurricane.
U.S. Coast Guard: MIAMI - The Seventh Coast Guard District has established an Area Command Post in advance of Tropical Storm Idalia, Monday, at Coast Guard Air Station Miami in Opa Locka, Florida.
To report marine distress or emergencies, please dial 911 or call the Coast Guard on VHF marine radio Channel 16. Social media is not monitored 24/7 and should never be used to report life-threatening distress or law enforcement emergencies.
