An IDF statement said, "Today in the city of Jenin, armed suspects fired toward IDF forces from inside a mosque”.

An additional statement said, “2 assailants rammed multiple IDF reserve soldiers who were operating in the area of Checkpoint 300. The soldiers responded with fire & hits were identified. 2 soldiers were lightly injured and have received medical care."
