Iran Launches Ballistic Missiles Near US Consulate, Claims It Destroyed Israel's "Spy HQ"

Iranian state news reported that it was the longest-range missile operation ever, from a distance of over 1,200 kilometers (746 miles).

IRAQ/SYRIA - Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) fired ballistic missiles at locations in Erbil, Iraq near the U.S. Consulate, as well as in locations within Syria.

The IRGC claimed responsibility for the attack near the U.S. Consulate and said it targeted and destroyed the Israeli intelligence agency’s Mossad “espionage” headquarters in Iraqi Kurdistan, as well as locations Iranian state media reported were being used by “terrorists and their backers” who carried out recent attacks on Kerman and Rasak, Iran that killed nearly 90 people.

IRNA reported that the IRGC said it fired “a number of missiles on spy centers and the gathering of anti-Iran terrorist groups in parts of the region, including in Syria”.
