Iran's Leader: Israel Will Be Punished For Attack On Consulate. Media Reports: Major Missile Or Drone Attack On Israel Imminent

TEHRAN - After Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said that Israel will be punished for the attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus, Syria a media report surfaced citing unnamed Israeli and U.S. officials stating that a major missile or drone attack on Israel by Iran is imminent, within the coming days.
A missile strike struck the Iranian Embassy in Damascus, Syria on April 1st and killed two top Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) generals and five officers, after which Iran threatened a response.
Although Israel has not officially claimed responsibility for the attack, the Iranian Supreme Leader said that Israel had made a mistake and added that it “will be punished".
Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz replied and said on social media that "If Iran attacks from its own territory, Israel will respond and attack in Iran".
