SYRIA — Unidentified gunmen affiliated with ISIS cells executed an attack on July 31 in Al-Shaafa city, located in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, Syria. The perpetrators, riding a motorcycle, directed machine-gun fire at a vehicle, leading to the deaths of an SDF member and a civilian passenger.
The driver suffered injuries and was transported to a medical facility for treatment. Following the incident, security personnel elevated alert levels and commenced operations to locate the attackers.
