North America Hurricane Status For September 11th, 2023
"Dangerous surf and rip currents are expected to begin along most of the U.S. East Coast Sunday and Monday and worsen through the week".
HURRICANE LEE - The storm is currently a category 3 hurricane and is not expected to hit Florida, and move north of Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands according to the U.S. National Hurricane Center, which stated, "Dangerous surf and rip currents are expected to begin along most of the U.S. East Coast Sunday and Monday and worsen through the week".
While the hurricane had upgraded to a category 5 storm, it has since been downgraded to a category 3 hurricane.
