North Korea Calls US, South Korean Joint Drills "Provocative", Says Nuclear War Could Be Ignited With A Spark
North Korea called the military drills a source of regional instability and claimed that the United States is an "arch-criminal" that is threatening mankind with nukes.
PYONGYANG - A spokesman for the North Korean Ministry of Defense has denounced what it calls "frantic" and "provocative" large-scale joint military drills between the United States and South Korea
A statement released by North Korean state-run media said that the military drills were a source of regional instability and claimed that the United States is an "arch-criminal" that is threatening mankind with nukes.
"The large-scale war drills staged by the world's biggest nuclear weapons state and more than 10 satellite states against a state in the Korean peninsula where a nuclear war may be ignited even with a spark, can never be called defensive", the statement read.
