GULF OF OMAN — On November 14, the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations received a report of an incident 20 nautical miles east of Khawr Fakkan in the United Arab Emirates.
Authorities initiated an investigation into the matter. Vessels operating in the area were advised to transit with caution and report any suspicious activity to the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations.

The tanker, identified as the Marshall Islands-flagged Talara with IMO number 9569994, sailed from Ajman in the United Arab Emirates to Singapore carrying high-sulfur gasoil. It encountered three small boats during transit.
Following the approach, the vessel altered course abruptly towards Iranian waters. Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps forces boarded and diverted the tanker according to maritime security assessments. No injuries to the crew were reported in initial evaluations.
