SEOUL/MOSCOW - Russia is holding nuclear readiness drills with Yars Intercontinental Ballistic Missile systems northwest of Moscow, Inter-fax cited the Russian Ministry of Defense as saying. Interfax was the root source and was cited by the mainstream media. We were unable to find any reference to the drills on any of the Russian military channels, this report will be updated when it becomes available.

The Yars ballistic missile system is capable of being mounted on mobile launchers has a range of between 6,800 and 7,500+ miles and is believed capable of carrying up to four nuclear warheads per missile and travel at up to Mach 14, though these details are contested and not known with certainty.

South Korea says that North Korea is sending four brigades, or around 12,000 of its soldiers to assist Russia in its war on Ukraine, 1,500 of which Seoul says have already arrived in Russia.
