As part of the final stage of the state test program, new nuclear-powered strategic missile submarine cruiser Imperator Aleksandr III successfully carried out a test launch of the Bulava sea-based intercontinental ballistic missile from the White Sea at Kura Missile Test Range on the Kamchatka peninsula.
The missile firing took place in the normal mode from an underwater position. The missile heads arrived at the designated area at the appointed time.
The ballistic missile firing is the final element of the state test program, after which a decision will be made on the cruiser's acceptance into the Navy.
