While Israel rarely acknowledges strikes in Syria, it has admitted to carrying out hundreds of strikes in the past targeting militias in the region.
DAMASCUS - Syrian state media reported that Israel targeted the Syrian capital of Damascus with airstrikes, citing a military source.

On its Telegram channel, it said "A military source: At about 23:45 in the evening, 28-5-2023, the Israeli enemy carried out an air attack from the direction of the occupied Syrian Golan, targeting some points in the vicinity of Damascus, and our air defense media intercepted the aggression’s missiles and shot down some of them, and the losses were limited to material".
