Syrian State Media Reports Air Defenses Activated Around Damascus
Syrian media: "A soldier was wounded and material damage occurred as a result of an Israeli missile attack that targeted points in the countryside of Damascus".
DAMASCUS - Syrian state media is reporting air defenses have been activated in Damascus to confront “hostile targets” which it later said were Israeli air attacks.
A translated statement by the Syrian state news agency SANA said, "Our air defenses are confronting hostile targets in the sky around Damascus”.
An update said, "Military source: At about 01:05 in the morning today, the Israeli enemy carried out an air attack from the direction of the occupied Syrian Golan, targeting some points southwest of Damascus".
