Taiwan's Defense Ministry Calls Chinese Balloon Activity "Grey Zone Harassment, 4 More Balloons Spotted As Elections Near

Taiwanese Ministry of Defense: “Based on their recent drift path, (the balloons) have posed a serious threat to the safety of many international aviation routes".

TAIPEI - Taiwan’s Ministry of Defense (MOD) reported that 4 Chinese balloons were spotted around the island of Taiwan, two of which flew directly over the island as Taiwanese general elections on January 13th near.

The balloons flew at an altitude of 20,000 to 33,000 feet. Additionally, the MOD spotted 10 military aircraft and 4 PLA Navy (PLAN) vessels around the island today.
