PHILIPPINES - The Islamic State has claimed responsibility in its Telegram channel for a bombing that was carried out at a Catholic Church in Marawi, Mindanao in the Philippines that killed at least four people and injured 50.

The Philippine government has released a statement that the Philippine Armed Forces is currently validating claims by ISIS (the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria) that it was behind the bombing on Sunday, which it says killed four people and wounded at least 50 others.
