WASHINGTON - The United States has committed an additional $5.9 billion in aid to Ukraine, with funding provided by both the Department of Defense (nearly $2.5 billion), and direct budget support from the the Treasury Department ($3.4 billion).

KYIV - Following a report from the South Korean intelligence agency stating that North Korea had dispatched approximately 11,000 to 12,000 troops to Russia to assist in defending against Ukrainian assaults on Kursk, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky referenced Ukraine's military, indicating that the number of North Korean casualties (dead or wounded) in Kursk has exceeded 3,000.

According to the Pentagon, this is the Biden Administration's twenty-third USAI package and seventy-third tranche of equipment to be provided from DoD inventories for Ukraine since August 2021.

"Together, these packages deliver critical capabilities such as air defense systems, munitions for artillery and rocket systems, anti-tank weapons, unmanned aerial systems and more."

The Pentagon has reaffirmed its agreement with the White House's assessment that around 1,000 North Korean soldiers have been killed or wounded in the conflict in Kursk, Russia and have committed around 12,000 troops to the region.
