NEW YORK — The U.S. Department of Justice on September 15 unsealed a Southern District of New York indictment charging five people it describes as members of a Russian Intelligence Services Network with conspiracy to finance terrorism, and charging three of them with conspiracy to commit murder for hire.
The five defendants remain at large, the Department of Justice and the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York said the same day.
The indictment, docketed as 26 CRIM 426, names:
Yuri Khrameev, also known as Colonel Yuri, 63, of Russia, described as a former colonel in the Russian intelligence services
Kirill Khrameev, 27, of Russia, described as an officer of Russia’s Federal Security Service and Yuri Khrameev’s son
Oemis Romagoza Durruthy, 35, a Cuban national living in Russia
Yaidel Delgado Suarez, also known as Viking, 35, of Cuba
Angel Eduardo Castro, 22, of Venezuela
All five face a terrorism-finance conspiracy count carrying a statutory maximum of 20 years. Yuri Khrameev, Suarez, and Castro also face a murder-for-hire conspiracy count carrying a statutory maximum of 10 years.
