Yemen: U.S. Strikes on Houthis Kill At Least 24, Including 13 Civilians, as Group Vows Escalation
The Houthi political bureau said that the attacks amount to a "war crime" and said "Our Yemeni armed forces are fully prepared to respond to escalation with escalation"
SANAA/ADEN - The Houthi-run Health Ministry and Al-Masirah TV reported that U.S. strikes launched by President Donald Trump on Saturday, March 15, 2025, killed at least 24 people—including 13 civilians in Sanaa and 11, among them four children, in Saada—targeting Houthi strongholds over their attacks on Red Sea shipping.
Executed partly by the USS Harry S. Truman, the strikes, the largest U.S. Middle East operation since Trump’s January inauguration, may persist for weeks, per officials. Trump demanded they stop or face ‘overwhelming lethal force,’ also warning Iran to end support. As a developing story, figures may shift.
