The Ukrainian Embassy to Hungary released a statement that said, "Ukraine's energy system came under heavy attack by Russia on 17 November. Russia launched about 120 missiles and 90 drones on various regions of Ukraine".

It added, "Air defense forces successfully intercepted more than 140 of the 210 air targets". 

International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director General Rafael Mariano Grossi was cited by the IAEA agency as saying on November 17th, "Ukraine’s operating nuclear power plants (NPPs) reduced electricity production as a precautionary measure this morning following widespread military activities across the country that reportedly targeted its energy infrastructure, putting nuclear safety and security under further pressure".
